A number of Liverpool supporters are delighted with a journalist’s claim that Harvey Elliott will be a squad player at Anfield next season.
The 18-year-old is back with the Reds following a successful loan spell at Blackburn Rovers last season. Elliott notched seven goals and 11 assists in the Championship in 2020/21, arguably standing out as one of the best players in the division.

There is the potential that the forward could be sent out on loan again ahead of next season, but it looks increasingly as though he could stay put. According to journalist David Lynch for the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool believe he can be a reliable first-team squad member moving forward.
Elliott could take Xherdan Shaqiri’s place in Jurgen Klopp’s squad, with the Swiss winger likely to move on to pastures new this summer following three seasons at the club.
