After securing promotion via the playoffs in the 2020–21 season, Frank has consistently kept Brentford competitive, with this past season seeing them finish 10th in the league, collecting 56 points. However, he is viewed as a secondary option at this stage. Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola and Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner have likewise been linked to the position, but the financial challenges involved in securing either currently make those pursuits unlikely.
